  4. Get yourself some respectable light or be prepared to be utterly disappointed.

It's normal for the first set of leaves to yellow and die off. That. Means the plant is eating the stored food in the leaf

  6. how long should I wait to throw it into flowering (it's only been a week since its popped out of the dirt) just trying to get an idea most say give it another 2 to 3 weeks befor flowering (just preying this plant ain't male)

  7. Most people wait until the plant sex can be determined at the very least. Successful windowsill grows are few and far between. More light is needed. Even a cheapo t-5 will get you by.

  8. The new domestic LED bulbs are great. The budget ones are at the stage were they're outperforming t5s handily.

Depending one where you are you show be able to find domestic led bulbs that give > 100 lm/w. two of them will be plenty to veg a single plant for 2 weeks.

For flower you need a real grow light.

  9. I'm currently using a homemade grow light for veg that I made using a 2'x3' white plywood with 8 light sockets running e27 50watt cob led bulbs from Menards. Very high par/ lux hell I could probably flower with them and only pulls 270watts at the plug. Can post pictures and plans if needed.

  11. Lower the light and maybe water less often in my opinion... also when you do transplant bury that stem some so it's not as stretched looking... I wouldn't transplant for a good 2-3 weeks though... and you are going to wait at least 4-6 weeks before flowering.. they can take 6-8 weeks from seed to mature anyhow depending on be strain.

  12. thanks man I just went a full day without watering because iv been watering everyday and been slowly cutting back but Ima let this dry out befor I water again

  13. Yeah watering every day can be excessive if it's not drying out enough... letting the soil dry out real nice makes the roots search for water and grow. If you have any extra soil you can fill up another cup with unwatered soil to get a feel for when to water...

  16. Watering properly is very easy once you learn to do it correctly, but its not easy to learn, so dont get discouraged.

You'll almost never underwater, plants in general are hardy fuckers, crops dont fail if they go a week without water. Stop watering altogether until it starts to wilt, you'll be surprised by how long that takes and by how quickly it recovers when you give it a good watering.

When you water just a little every day what you may be actually doing is keeping the top few inches under the surface overwatered while the bottom gets no fresh water and no fresh oxegen.

  18. you dont need a strong fan right now. people get obsessive about that when their plants are dense with buds and foliage, theres a danger of pockets of still air causing mold etc.

Right now a very soft breeze is enough. Dont stress the seeding any more if possible.

I'd like to see some sort of mulch covering your soil.sherded paper, leafs, perlite, rice hulls, anything to cover the soil and stop the top inch from drying out too quickly.

Keep going, you'll learn loads from your first grow. Your next will be way better. But you cant skip the first one! It has to be done. Never quit on your first grow!!!! :)

  19. Some more advice; start growing other stuff, veg, flowers, fruits , anything you fancy. Fail as many times as you want.Stick to purely organic methods. Read a standard gardening/horticulture book.
