Hello all, I’m new here. I know this has probably been asked a gajillion times but not like this (I searched). My state has been legal nearly a year now, and I’ve harvested my first crop. I read everything I could find and asked growers and there’s a couple opinions concerning when to harvest. Most say cut when trichomes are mostly cloudy. But others say when most of the hairs turn a copper color. I cut mine when the trichomes were cloudy, which was about 3 weeks after the hairs turned dark. Ugh this is the most couch-lock weed I’ve smoked in 40 years! I’ll be harvesting my second crop starting in a couple weeks, and I really don’t want stinkin couch-lock weed again. I used a microscope, but like I said the two methods of determining harvest for me were 3+ weeks apart. Help? Mine were most definitely cut too late the first try.
