New Grow Room

    hi ive been testing my new grow room over the last 2 days its 6ft long 4ft wide and 6ft high it has a 600w hps system a fan and a td160 inline duct fan with carbon filter im averaging around 29c - 85.1f is this temp ok or do i need to try and drop it a little more at the moment my 9 babies are in my closet growing their 3rd nodes (10 days old) and i dont want to move them until i know my new grow room is optimum.

    PLEASE COMMENT I NEED YOUR OPINIONS.

    it would be perfact to keep temp 75-80. 85 wont kill them but it might stress your plants out a little. the best bud comes from happy stress free plants.

    up to 82 is fine. At 85 your right on the limit and will probably see slight negative affects.

    i forgot to mention that its 85f directly under the light if i move the hydrometer into the corner of the grow room it drops to 80-82f

    First of all, great going to TEST THE ROOM FIRST! Excellent -- newbies, read this thread and take note, you should get a sense of what you are doing before you start growing. +rep for proactive thinking.

    When you say it is 85F under the light, at what height? If that is plant-top height then you are toeing the line, if the plants will be higher than the thermometer (closer to the light) then the tops will be getting even hotter.

    Do try to drop that temp a bit. Starting right around 85F the plants start to have issues with uptaking CO2, and growth could be stunted.

    im getting 85f at floor level 4ft below the light would putting a fan directly on the lamp cool it down cos i have now got to get a heater to heat the room outside up cos its dropping to around 60-62 when the light goes out and am now worried that its going to affect the temp even more when the lights on

    where are you exausting the hot air from your grow room to?

    its in my shed and im exausting it from the grow room to the shed my outside temp here at the mo is 15c ive got a radiator to raise the room temp cos its the sameas the outside temp without it. so i dont think thats a problem im thinking about getting another duct fan for intake do you think that will make a difference?
