So I'm in the market for a new light. Going in a 3X5 area. Looking at a Spiderfarmer SF 2000 Mars Hydro TSW 400 or Optic 2 Gen 3 . Am I looking at decent stuff or junk? Just doing it as a hobby but want something quality and want to be happy with it and not want more brightness. Any opinions or pointers? Thanks.
I have the mars 300 watt lights ( Ten of them ) I have 3 DIY Cree/COB LED grow light Kits with a Makers controller from LED Supply. I have sixteen 2v 288 R spec Samsung boards from Horticulture Lighting group . Side by side the plant grow toward the Samsung boards .. The Samsung Boards use about 40% less energy .. Tail tail sign of a quality LED light is that it doesn't require a cooling fan . Any LED grow light that uses a cooling fan most likely is technology that is years if not decades old . New LED technology doesn't require cooling fans because the Light emitting diodes don't create as much heat as the older diodes . Buy what you wish ,,, but I have never seen Samsung mislead anyone on their lights actual performance .
