ok so i plan on having a small grow in my closet. i have been reading as much as i can but i am still a little unsure about some things. ok so i plan on starting w two and then narrowing down to one so i have a better chance of getting a female. i would want to put it in in a wooden box ill make and paint it glossy white on the inside. aprox 1.5x1.5x2.5ft but not sure yet, thats just a guess and im willing to change i will put lights on the top and am wondering should i use around 100- 150w hps or cfl's. are there any other options? i know the hps is better but gives off more heat also kinda siding to cfl's cuz of prices. so that comes to my next thing heat. how do i get rid of heat best? i was thinking getting a small computer fan and putting it into the wall of the box as an exhaust and just make a hole on the other side as intake. lastly the most important is smell. ive heard of using carbon sheets to eliminate it but how exactly is the best way to get rid of smell from such a small grow? preferably i dontwant tubes going out considering it will be in a closet. right now to me it seems like i would put a small fan facing outward into the wall of the box and face it outward and then put a carbon sheet over the fan on the outside so any air will pass through it before exiting. so how does this plan sound. also for growing techniques i was thinking either of lst'ing or topping them and for nutes(yea im not very informed on this subject) so i wont ask too specific details but basically what would you personally use or can you refer me to a good plan on nutes for like when and how much to use? i can obviously look this up but there are lots of varieties of info on this so i want to know what you would use thanks for the help. i really need it
read the DIY carbon filter sticky. use cfls or hps. up too you. if you think you can handle heat use hps. nutes: im using superthrive and Fox Farms Grow big. FFGB is for vegging and flowering and so is superthrive. fox farms has a scheduale for feeding. always use 1/4str. of what the directions are. that way you dont burn your plants. i few things i recomend are: buying a ph meter of amazon. 15$ buying all three Fox Farms Trio. 38$ or any of them just follow their plan. they are about 15each. thats all i have for now.

yea but if i use an hps i need to get a stronger fan than just a pc to get more airflow through the carbon faster and im on a pretty tight budget.. ok right now my main question is with the carbon filter. i am pretty handy but im not sure what the essentials are / how exactly it works.. i found some guides but they were not small enuf. i found one that was but if i know how it works i think ill b more successful
