^ What's the point of having a downstem, then? You don't pull the stem out, you just dislodge it a bit to get some air flow into the cylander. This bypasses the gross bong water so you don't have to breathe thru it.
...Youre one of the few people that do this. And i change my bongwater every 10 hits or so even with a carbon filter.
