I found around 10 seeds in an ounce of lavender kush about 5 years ago. I was beyond ecstatic because this bud was probably my second favorite strain I’d ever had. I attempted to germinate 6 seeds and 3 germinated. One of the seeds germinated in only 1-2 days and grew vigorously at every stage. One seed didn’t successfully get the seed casing off and need a little help. This plant grew very oddly and very little. Only had 2 leaves for a decent amount of time and just finally pushed out a new stem from where the cotyledon leaves were. It’s interesting how it’s progressing and it looks like it may bounce back, but I’m not holding my breath. The two other plants have been preflowering and are confirmed females. The pots are actually a little over 9 gallons for reference.

  4. It really is miraculous how the runt is doing. I thought it wasn’t going to do anything, but I didn’t give up on her (hopefully).

  5. Here’s the plants as of this morning. They look so happy! The tiny runt is really starting to take off finally. The other two are really getting bushy. This is the first organic grow that I’ve actually been able to put money into, and I think it’s going pretty well but I’m always open to input from more experienced growers. Please feel free to critique. Any positive input is appreciated too! Thanks!

  6. Anybody have any clue if I’ll have to transplant the bigger two out of their 9 gallon pots? I thought that 9 gallons would be plenty think in terms of 1 gallon per foot of growth, but I’m wondering if I’ll need 15 to get the most out of these girls. Input?

  7. The third plant just popped out a couple female preflowers. It’s really starting to bounce back. Had fungus gnats in the bigger pots. Got Neem oil and watered with h202. Got some diatomaceous earth too.

  8. You should never ever, never ever, never ever water any Oil through the root zone. For gnats, Neem Cake and Karanja meal are prefect for top dressing and getting rid of gnats among other things. DE stops working soon as it gets wet.

Neem cake protects plant roots from nematodes, soil grubs and white ants probably due to its residual limonoid content. It also acts as a natural fertilizer with pesticidal properties. It gives 15-25% better yield than any other fertilizer. Conventional fertilizer lack the uniformity of nutrient release that inhibit the constant growth of fruit/crop. More over Neem Cake also control nematodes and other soil borne pest that help roots to absorb nutrients in regular and optimum manner.

  9. I didn’t water with the Neem oil, it came diluted in a spray bottle and I sprayed it on the surface of the soil. If this is not a good idea then I’ll cease immediately. I’ll look up Neem cake. Thank you!

  11. All 3 girls look very happy. It’s so weird how the leaves in the runt look so different. It’s growing well though. The two bigger girls are pushing out lots of pistils, still growing pretty vigorously though. I’ve never had plants that had so many pistils while in pre-flower.

  12. Starting to stink. I know they aren’t the biggest giants of plants, but the two bigger ones are budding everywhere and are so dense.
