what's up everyone, i've got an outdoor grow going in massachusetts and i was wondering if anyone has done a grow in that state and could tell me approximately when they have cut previous grows down. I know about the trichs browning and all that, i'm just trying to get a general idea of when i can expect a harvest. The plants have been going since the end of march and outside since june 1st. I've got some decent size nugs right now, any chance of an earlier harvest without losing weight or is it better to go until the end of october? thanks to all who respond
Here is how I figure. I suggest you let it go as long as you can, depending on security. It will keep growing all through october, through those 25 degree frosts, no problem, unless you have a wet, mold problem, but you should watch for that. it is bagseed or a known "early" strain. Fog bagseed, give it 8 weeks, basically, you will know it is time to harvest because it will stop growing and look like it is starting to dye, but you have time, it doesn't happen overnight. all this "up high" vs. "couchlock" is for whooooses. of course you want to get STONED, let it go, don't be in a hurry, however of course you will be anxious for a taste, take one of the lower buds, throw in on the water heater or furnace or at that time radiater, and enjoy it. but the longer you let it go, the tighter those buds will be. the males showed, then the mommas started flowering a week later and then one week after that you saw bud right? so you are two weeks in, and you need about 6 more weeks pushing you to October 12th or so. Now we won't really get a killing killer frost until end of October, remember, these plants will take a nice white frosting, in fact, nothing better than visiting in late october with a white frosting and the sun coming up against the blue sky. i read that the top buds are the most potent, and those i am saving in a special "top" bag. let it grow.
im growin outdoor in MA as well. i would expect to harvest late september through october, when most other crops are harvested. mine were started really late, in july, so i wont be expecting to harvest until like november. good luck, man
thanks for the input everyone. i have 25 that were from a nice outdoor crop i bought last year. Then i have five bc blueberries that are doing really well. They were planted outside in early july and have nice sized nugs on them, though they are only about 3-4 feet tall they smell really sweet and have a ridiculous amount of budsites. The outdoor seeds were getting way too tall about 3 weeks ago, so i tied 75% of them down. I mean some of them were over 7 feet tall! This is my first grow, though i have studied whatever i can, whenever i can to get a clue on how to do this. I'm hoping for about 5 lbs minimum off the od's and a solid pound of blueberry. I'm kind of underestimating on the od's just because this is my first time, but i think we pretty much followed form as best we could. The od's was started indoors for 2 1/2 months and fed greensleaves veg juice. then i transplanted them outside and continued on the veg juice for about 2 weeks and switched over to awesome blossoms. i did the same with the blueberry, only about 1 1/2 months later. I'm willing to hear any educated guesses on yield, (though i know it would only be speculation), and would also love to hear any recommendations on time released fertilizers that won't burn up my plants. Oh yeah, and i'll take your advice-i'll let em grow. thanks everyone, and good luck to all.

Awesome point, about looking like staring to dye. I believe the longer the better as well. The longer the tighter, but also stinkier and tastier. Well put Sticker B
