to learn!!! hey guys, new to the fourm and honestly dont have much expierence with bud. theres a possibility here in the future i may work at a medicinal shop within a few years. although ive dont use it much i support it 100% and hope to be able to legally use it in the future (with no worries) lol my mom was a stoner in highschool ( 70's ) dad has done it too, both of them support weed to the fullest which is awsome. mom has pain ( arthritis basically everywhere ) and i see her slowly getting worse. ive always wanted to know what was soo ( bad ) about weed and more importantly what ( good ) it actually gives you, ive heard many stories about miracle cures done with cannabis, so i believe in it ill be checking things out, hopefully learn me some stuff =] haha
Welcome! In terms of becoming informed in the cannabis counterculture, I would advice that you be wary with how you exercise your system of understanding. There it an awful lots of hard academic research on cannabis mixed in with lots of pseduoscientific magical thinking from the fringe. They're often mistaken for one another; consuming academic research requires a significant understand of how research is done, what is (or is not) implied or concluded. The greatest mistakes I have seen passionate cannabis-activists make is to be too aggressive and too credulous. This can be counter-productive at disseminating a meaningful exchange of ideas with the non-user community. Use rhetoric to your advantage, and defy expectations at every opportunity.
