Hello, im a new grower and i have grown outside before and succeeded, apart from the fact my plant turned hermi from over stressing it. I just bought a new 2 door closet that's 620mm in width and 295mm in diameter and 890mm in hight. Im thinking of getting 3 100 watt CFL lights for the top of it and 2 100 watt florescent tubes for the back 2 corners with 2 mini fans in the back. Would that be a good start off and how much would that rake up on my electricity bill? I will be moving my unknown hermi plant into it when built. Also any ideas for good beginner indoor auto-strains? Any other advice would be very helpful too! Thankyou.
Hey mate, that light should be ok. I'm only using 130watts and seems to be doing fine. Obviously the more watts the better. As for the power bill that's a tough one because we get raped for elecy prices here you will see a jump on the bill. Just workout how many kwh you use in decimal form and times it by you kwh cost. Mine is about .25c! Absolute bullshit the prices here.
That amount of CFLs and fluoros will barely make a dent in your electric bill. Wouldn't even worry about it. I'm running a 400w MH/HPS and it just barely affects my bill.
