I thought of this a few weeks ago. I have made a prototype out of bottles to test the theory, and it does work well. give ideas on improvement/name? sorry for first post.
I dont really see how it would work better then a regular bong, but its an interesting idea EDIt:acctuly, if im looking at this right, I think the water would just suck up into your mouth, like a straw.
It wouldn't work necessarily better but its a cool effect and a new spin on the normal stem going into the water. No it just sucks through till the bottom of the middle cone piece is exposed then it starts to bubble upwards and its doesn't all suck up,the water doesn't come near your mouth has about same splash as a normal bong.
Correct me if iM wrong, but isnt this how the Peyote Pillar Perc from SG works? In that, the smoke enters into a chamber which has no water, then passes through a compartment where the diffuser and water are housed together? lemme know if Im wrong.
Have you tried this idea? It seems cool but the graphic makes it look like youd just get a mouth full of water. Cool concept though. EDIT: Just saw you said you've tried it. Well if it works, do it to it.
The water would not go straight in his mouth, the pressure of sucking air through that percolator and then down into the funnel thats sitting in the water and up into his mouth is much less than the pressure required to lift that entire thing of water, which by the way would not even entirely fill up the funnel, therefore you could not achieve enough suction to 'drink' the bongwater, except for maybe some splashing from an excessively intense hit.
