Wow. Ok, so most people who use DXM typically feel some sickness, it just goes with taking the drug. Well I took about 600mg and I didn't have any weed a few hours ago. Big mistake. I typically feel a little sick when I take DXM (and except for today, I've always smoked while taking it) but I didn't think much of it. I guess I completely underestimated cannabis' ability to quell nausa. Because holy shit, I completely blasted puke it was like the flu times ten when I didn't toke. I know this seems stupid but I never read anywhere that DXM can cause such violent puking (it was quite violent, my face was super fucked up like puffy and red and splotchy for some reason), yet weed takes care of that problem. I'm just posting this in hopes that it keeps one person from blasting puke like I did, because it was probably the worst puking I've ever done. Plus it completely killed my buzz, after I felt nothing.
I got rediculously sick when i took sugar free cough syrup before. I don't plan on ever doing it again unless possibly its offered to me in powder form.
It *can* be one of the most fun drugs to trip on, but it does have a high "rejection" rate in which it either doesn't work for the user. The thing is, when I've not felt sick I had a great time (previous DXM trips) but this time, without something to supress the nausa, it was awful. Oh well, you win some you lose some. DXM isn't for everyone. I took it in pill form so the nausa wasn't from the bad taste or anything, just the DXM in my stomache. Maybe from the ingredients in the gelcaps too, I dunno, DXM was the only active ingredient which in theory means the other ingredients won't react with the body, so I think if I did take in in powder form it wouldn't have made a difference.
your not to smart about this huh... dont drink the syrup thats just gross... take the pills and no i have never ever felt any sickness when tkaing dxm unlik ehwo you say everyone does.. i dont and neve rhave taken dxm with weed.. i dont feel the need ...so dont post lik eyou know everything... especially with dxm...
Apparently you can't read or write. I never said I used liquid syrup, that shit tastes like ass. In fact I said I used pills. And I didn't say you had to use weed, I just said that for me when I didn't use weed (and I've used DXM quite a bit) my mild nausia turned into violent puking. So go ahead and not read my post; respond with some dumbass irrelevant comment that's nothing more than your personal experience (it's great you don't get sick, but almost everyone I know who takes it does... doesn't mean everyone just most). Apparently it is you who is too dull to understand that how it works for *you* is not the same as everyone else, yet you accuse me of that same trait. Dumbass.
Um, am I the only person that read when he said "I took it in pill form so..."??? Nowhere did he say that he chugged the syrup. Nowhere. Where the hell are you guys getting that from?
