Never clogging- aeroponics new design

  1. yeah i think im going to attempt to do the multipod method with possibly smaller buckets. Also i think it might help to throw a couple airstones in the res. 6 Buckets with a 600w light. They say that MH promotes more nodes, but is it worth it to get a switchable balast and switch out the bulbs?

  2. I like it.

When you get it going be sure and show us some pics.

When growing in aero it is important to maitain the pH 5.5-5.8 and use less nutes. Be sure and use nutes that are "clear" . Your nute solution should look clear like this 1300ppm Dutch Master nutes, with RO water

  3. That aero bucket is alright but I designed an aero system a couple years ago that works awesome and no clogs at all. I have like a 25 gallon rubbermaid with a 600gph pump in the bottom that runs up to a piece of pvc about 2 feet long that goes through the rubbermaid about half way up parallel to the lid. This sytem doesn't use sprayers, since the pump is more than enough I just drilled holes in the pvc in between where the roots will come down with a 1/16th drill bit. The water that shoots out these holes is so powerful that it hits the sides of the tubberware and creates a crazy mist effect. Its even more misty than using sprayers or misters. It also helps keep the roots in line bc they will not grow into the water spraying into the sides. It only takes about 20 minutes to build and has always produced awesome results with no worries of clogging. I have left town for a week and came back and everything was ok. I highly recommend this system Ill try to get some pics of it. Peace

  4. Another great idea, I wanna see your pics.

    What nutes are you using?

  5. i cant wait to see your setup, might use your setup instead.

  6. thats very interesting, its like a fogger system but cheaper and simpler! Do you keep the pump on a timer? or does it run like that 24/7? for the sake of mankind please show us how you did everything!! (pics would be fucking amazing) how often do you change your res also? thanks bud!

Earl, what if i used this guys concept with the mist effect and then had the bottom of the roots submerged in the oxygenated reservoir (airstones) in order to conserve height? (i have limited space and growing white widow yikes!)

Wouldn't this allow the plants to have constant nutrient uptake as well as awesome oxygenation?!?!?!?

  7. There is a million ways to grow. Just do it.

I showed you my way. It works and there are pics to prove it.

I can't do any engineering for you over what I have already shown you.

You guys can feel free to improve my design, it won't bother me.

If you come up with something better, believe me, I will copy you.

Show your stuff and somebody will try to make it better, and they may just succeed.

We are all bold people here, as evidenced by the nature of our collective endeavors to grow the great medicine plant.

We all want the same thing, great weed that we know is not coming from some government contaminated crap.

  8. Word earl nizzle i hear ya.

I wanna know how much noise the water hitting the bucket is going to make, especially if its fast enough to turn it into mist:eek: how does the pvc not leak with that kind of pressure? did you use some kind of fitting? this could work with a garden hose or other material as well correct?

Also, do you have airstones? do the roots touch the water? do you have a power head to keep the res water circulating? thanks, we all would like to know whats up with this sytem

  9. Turbo.... Sorry my camera broke and I have one in mail and it will be here any day now. In the system I was describing when the roots get big enough to touch the water I add a couple air stones or bubble wands. The water hitting the sides of the tubberware is not too loud but if your in the room u can definately hear it. I change the water about every 2-3 weeks depending on how lazy im being. peace

  10. thanks man, I have the airstones and drilled the holes, bought a 526 gph pump for my ~15 gal reservoir. I used clear tubing, and had to ziptie it to the top of the bin because i wasnt sure how to hang it half way.

SO, how often is your pump on? 15 mins on 15 off? does it or the airstones need to be run 24/7? Do you just fill it up with water as the level drops and then change the nutes every 2 weeks?

Ill get some pics when im done as well, gotta light proof my rez:)
