Never been really high...

  1. So the title basically sums it up. Normally I smoke 1 or 2 bowls max due to economical reasons. I almost always smoke dank so their really is no need I feel. I always get high enough to a point where I feel I am high enough, but I always feel like if I were to say go 4 or 5 bowls deep the high would be different and even life changing. So I'm just curious, to all those people that smoke like a gram plus at a time am I really missing out on anything or is it better to just smoke like 1 or 2 bowls(like .3 each bowl) and conserve?
    I've probably smoked more than that before but if I were to smoke like 2 grams at once would it be worth the experience? I smoke almost daily 2x at least. I am by no means a newbie to smoking, been going on two years daily, but never have the courage to smoke a ton since I feel like it'd be a waste. But at the same time I feel like the experience would be worth it. Thoughts?

  3. Well the highest I've ever been in my life was the my 3rd time ever and it was like 2 or 3 bowls to 3 people. Now I can smoke twice that by myself and be nowhere near where I was that time.
     
  4. Some people develop a very high tolerance from smoking daily for long periods of time. So for example, a person who is a daily smoker for a year might need three or four bowls (maybe even more) to get the same high as a person who smokes once a week.

    I understand what you're getting at though, you want to have a more powerful, "trip-like" experience. In my experience it either takes smoking a lot of high-grade bud to induce me into more of a "trip," or high quality concentrates.

    Even then marijuana is a relatively mild psychedelic. I don't think its possible to trip from marijuana unless a person is consuming massive, ritualistic amounts. Although this doesn't mean a person can't enter a state of mind thats similar to a trip by becoming very high.

    You should try concentrates, vaporizing, and edibles. Those are by far the best methods of consumption for a more potent, longer lasting high. A bowl of some good hash, vape hits, and a brownie or two will definitely get you feeling much more high than a bowl or two of dank.

    For me there is a fine line between just right and too much. It can be really awesome but a little overwhelming if you aren't ready for it. it's not dangerous so give it a shot!
     
  6. Well I've never had edibles so that might be a start. But I'm never afraid to get too high, I mean on a psychological level I feel like I'd be able to handle it. Never done a true psychedelic, but I really would want to feel what smoking a lot of weed at a time would feel like.
     
  7. Why don't you just try it one time? I see no downside to at least just smoking as much as you can one time. All that could happen is you run out of weed for a day or two. Seriously not a bad thing unless you're depending on it.
     
  8. In my experience the "severity" of a high has a lot to do with how fast you smoked.

    IE, you wont get much higher smoking 5 bowls as opposed to 2, simply because it takes a while to go through em (especially in a group)

    However, should you smoke a single bowl topped with a ridiculous amount of hash, the high is intense.

    If you smoke daily, I would NOT smoke more herb per sitting. It wont do you much; you wont get that extra high. If you want to get REALLY high, you need concentrates or edibles. Concentrates will give you an intensely powerful high, and edibles will give you a debilitating delirious high (if you are overdoing either for an 'extreme').

    IMO, if you wanna "experience" the limits of cannabis, go make a super potent edible. The kind you only get from making cooking oil out of hash :D
     
  9. Trust me, cannabis is very, very mild compared to the more prominent and well-known psychedelics. Not that weed can't be intense, but its not like a person can have a "bad trip" from cannabis because the senses are not as heavily distorted compared to other substances. This doesn't mean there can't be uncomfortable side effects, but really the only "extreme" negative effects you'll experience from smoking a lot of weed is paranoia and dry mouth versus full blown, open eyed hallucinations.
     
  10. always have to pace yourself. rushing into your high is one of the worst ways to have one, can easily lead to a panic attack or green out if you smoke too much

    if you really want to experience cannabis, smoke as much as possible in the dark, by yourself
     
  11. I mean the whole thing here is kinda being put on the table by y'all. (Not even from the south.) I understand weed is a very very mild psychedelic. I also don't really have access to concentrates unless I make them myself which just seems to demanding nor do I have the resources. I'm thinking my next pick up, probably like 2 grams I'll smoke it all at once and just see how that goes. I'm more just worried about how I'll wake up and realize I have no weed left. I understand how it's just weed and I can always get more. I mean what I really need is some powerful psychedelics, just need to open my third eye a little wider. Unfortunately I don't have the connects, one day though.
