I have not seen a net neutrality thread at all however I have seen some of the 'regulation' internet. This is very highly contagious and very dangerous to mankind. Net Neutrality is makes the bandwidth even more harder to use than before. More explanation by this amazing dude.

This whole propagandist is creating a confusion across the world. I recommend people not to listen to these schemers and continue what you're using. Don't fix what's not broken, for god sakes.

  2. Fuck you if you want the government to regulate our internet, anyone anywhere should be able to access anything at anytime.

  3. they better not fuck with my interwebs

  4. but if the Government and Google want this to happen.. then it must be good, no?

  5. Of course dude, why would you even question the government?

  6. what if people start selling like... black market website thingys or something... yeah

  7. You're naive if you think the internet will remained unregulated, especially as commerce picks up on it.

At least net neutrality protects the rights of users and entrepreneurs.

You can thank comcast for this. They would block internet traffic to competitors in other services, while not giving their customers the speeds they paid for.

  8. and you think corporations will allow you to do this if "unregulated"?

have fun being charged per search and website hit.

"oh sorry, that website is only available to platinum subscribers, you will need to pay an extra $50 a month to access that content"

  9. I didn't think it would be certain websites, just different speeds.

It sounds fair to me. If you use more internets, you pay more. Bandwith is finite, right?

  10. Just like aaronman said, it's about bandwidth and making it 'accessible' for anybody to use. Everybody will have the 'same' speed. Socialism internet, anyone?

Gov is over if you want it.

  11. Obamanet

  12. i dont think everyone having tha same speed is socialism

  13. Regulation of the internet is a good thing if laws and the people in office were actually doing their jobs FOR the people.

Otherwise all this is, is a way to spy on people AND have valid legal reason to do so. But you know what? They already do that!

  14. Socialism = Equalization.

It's not fair that someone who pays $20 a month just to check their email and browse web pages has to suffer lag so that someone who pays $20 a month can stream and download media 24 hours a day.

  15. I kinda get what you're getting at but that's also part of the ISP.
Where I live I get fast speeds all the time, everybody else does as well.
    Who is this affecting?

  16. I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to internets, but I'm pretty sure this whole discussion is hypothetical. The argument is that in 10 years internet companies might start tiering the internet, so the government has to step in today and manage it.

  17. The problem is that ISP is already regulated and now, gov wants regulate even more.

Everybody is already affected by regulated ISP. Some sites are not showed through ISP-majority of people don't even know this. I hate my ISP, I hate comcast ISP, and I hate other corporation ISP. Where do I find a smaller business ISP? Oh that's right, there isn't any because of the regulations.

If we had free markets, we would have power to pick any ISP that offer good internet speed and access. If ISP decides to block such websites that you like, you have the power to change to a different ISP.

This whole Net Neutrality is farce and propaganda at best.

  18. this is the closest thing to equalization with socialism, off wiki

    "relatively equal power-relations"

i guess i see it as not equal accross tha board, but tighter than it is currently

  19. i like this too

  20. Why should the internet be regulated at all? Thats that the way we get the truth completely for the most part anyway. I think its very odd/ funny that the govt wants to regulate it. One must have many questions/ thoughts running thru their mind when that happens.
