So this family lives in the house behind mine, and I've never seen them because there's a row of trees between me and them, but I hear them every day. It's the parents and I think 3 kids, but I can't be sure.. it's only the one kid's name I ever hear, "Robert". Seriously I can't even be outside anymore because every day I hear "ROBERT GET YOUR FUCKING ASS OUT OF THE POOL NOW!" "ROBERT GET THE FUCK IN HERE!!" "GOD DAMMIT ROBERT SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND GET OVER HERE!" The words are bad enough but it's the way they say it.. they sound absolutely livid, like veins-popping-out-of-their-neck kind of angry. This has been going on since I moved here, so well over a year. Now I don't know if this kid is a real pain in the ass, but that's still no way to talk to a child. He's going to grow up being just as much of an asshole as his parents. Any ideas on what I should do? Continue to leave it alone? Shout something across the yard to them? I can't really get the authorities involved because there aren't any laws against bad parenting, and I don't know if they're physically harming him. I just get so angry when I hear them, I seriously want to drive over, knock on their door and beat the shit out of the dad.
Give child services a call, if nothing happens as a result you can't say you didn't try to help, yanno? Maybe more is going on that makes the problem more serious than you know it, and you could help the kid out
Maybe he's doing something horrible, like smearing his shit all over things. you did say you haven't seen what was going down.... maybe every time he shits, he uses it to cover the bathroom walls. then his parents get pissed off....

Live with yours? Make sure you let them hear "love ya mom/dad!". Lol I had a neighbor who talked to me that way. I quickly cut that shit out. I called sheriff to ask permissible decibel for music, and kept it 1 db under all day all night until she left me alone. Gotta love onkyo speakers lol.

Nothing against you mang, but OP do NOT call child services. You have absolutely no idea their situation. I would not attempt to ruin someone else's family based off a weak inference concluded from the observation of just hearing some yelling between a family. Unless you see actual physical evidence of him hurting his child, I would honestly leave it alone. It's someones family, you know, why ruin it based on a hunch?
Haha I get ya. Me personally, I let my neighbors know i don't tolerate stupid shit. I have received many gifts (cakes thermos fruitcakes) for shutting up my neighbor, she annoyed everyone. Seems like you live next to one too. Invest in quality speakers haha. Have any guns? Clean em outside so everyone knows.
Personally I agree with this. CPS is a VERY fucked up organization. They have taken kids away from good loving homes, and put them in shitty ones with strangers. Alot of times just because of assumptions and prejudice. There notorious for stealing kids from good situations, due to stupid reasons, and putting them in much worse situations.
I don't want to ruin their family, I just want to let the parents know that its no way to speak to a child, and I won't stand for it. Something along the lines of "pick on someone your own size". The dad sounds like a bully and a coward, and the mom sounds like a crazy bitch. Maybe I should just go over and lay their options on the table --- either quiet down and leave your kid alone, or I'm going to get the authorities involved.

Why I would enforce law that forces parents to obtain child license to have a child(ren). Mental evaluation, income stability, and proper time to properly raise child that can be beneficial towards society. If you can't meet those demands, No kids for you.
