Negative side effects???

    I'm a semi novice edibles maker and I have what may be either a good or really stupid question, I'll let you be the Judge.
    Ok so, I got a strain that when vaped and smoked gave me a terrible terrible migraine and seeing as I am treating chronic migraines that is a bad bad thing.
    My question is, if I were to make edibles with it will it have the same negative side effects or do edibles react differently than their smoke and vapour counterparts?
    I just really hate the thought of having something in my stash I can't use :(
