So, it has been about 7years since I last put seeds in z dirt. And this year I have found myself in the right conditions to do so again. So I figured I would start back up with some bagseed. (pretty good bagseed if i do say so muhself ) Anyhow, I have got it all setup and the babies are around 10days old or so. (notes not in reach atm). Im using 4 cfl lights, specs i cant remember off the top of my head either atm lol. Shall have a 250w hps system with the MH conversion bulb. Hopefully should have that in the next week or two. At the moment the babies are about 4inches tall and working on the 4th set of leaves. Ive got the lights about 4inches from the tops of the plants. Just wondering right now if im good with 1/4inch node spacing. Thats the maximum between nodes. most are shorter. Ill update more soon with pics and everything too Cheers, NeedZ
Welcome back to the growing world. Well if you are using CFLS then you are good to keep them very close to the plant without burning the foliage. if you switch to hps i would recommend just getting an air cooled hood from the start...because you will eventually upgrade....without an air cooled hood you will have heat issues and will need to keep the reflector very high up which will result in less light to your plants...so just do it right from the start if you make the upgrade. for the node spacing every strain is going to be a little different...Indicas will have shorter node space and Sativas longer node spacing PUFFER
