Need your opinion if this will work.

  1. Ok so i was all set to plop down 7 seeds with a 400 watt hps in my small closet and just add a couple fans. I have found that it wont be adequate ventilation with 7 plants. So some people say put new doors on if you cant replace them and put 2 wholes in them. I have two small sliding doors, which cant be replaced with new doors or different doors. So i am trying to get your guys feedback. If i take off the doors now, cover the open space with cardboard, cutting off all light. On one side cut my wholes with fans. And have it so i can move the other side of the cardboard open and closed. Does this sound like it will work? One other thing, how do i not let light disturb the plants through the wholes when the lamp is off?? If this idea sounds bogus to some people please lemme know, but please try to help me come up with a soloution. Thanks any help would be appreciated

  2. Johnny, you're already asking this in another thread, please don't double-post.

The carboard doors could work, thoug they it still needs to be lightproofed. You will need light traps around the holes, just create a double-switchback (shaped like an "S" or a "C") painted inside with flat black. The idea for a light trap is that light travels in straight lines, and flat black doesn't reflect, so by putting in some switchbacks you will cut the light but still allow airflow. You can easily build those out of carboard or pvc pipe fittings.
