Need your help my medication was seized !!

Aight heres the deal, for starters... Never drive high, weither its legal or not you will go to jail if your driving under the influence of any drug. If your budy was sober he proally wouldve got off with just a fine as well. Instead he spent the night and jail and is in jepordary of losing his driver license now.


Was it city police or the CHP that pulled you over. CHP only honors the new cards issued by the state health department. Also CHP is being sued right now because they arent honoring medical marijuana. If it was city or county cops then they are suppose to not arrest you, and you should fight it and if you have a legit reason to have the marijuana then charges will most likely be dropped.


The fine I beleive is $300.

Having a recmendation from Medicann will hurt you though, nobody really respects Medicann anymore because they hand out recomendations like candy. They give out recomendations without people having to prove they have the illness they say they do.

Contact Medicann and tell them you were giving a ciation, doctors will usually come and testify for you at court. I'm not sure if medicann will or not though because like i said they are pretty shady and are more about making a quick buck then helping medical marijuana paitents.

Another thing you need to do is contact americans for safe access at http://www.safeaccessnow.org/ ... Their phone is on the bottom, call them up and tell them what happened. Because of the current lawsuit against the CHP americans for safe access is asking that all medical marijuana paitents that are arrested or giving citations for medical marijuana call them. I beleive ASA also have lawyers that deal with marijuana cases, its worth looking into.


It sucked that this happened but thats the problem going right now, some places honor medical marijuana and some dont, some cops do and some cops dont.


And yes if it is not for medical use then hash is a felony in California. If you have a recomendation and what not then hash is legal but as you now know there are still dick cops out there that will break the law and arrest you.

Basically to sum it up, call up medicann tell them what happened and if they can come show up at court for you. Call ASA and tell them what happened (they will give you better advice than I can on what to do)..... And go to court and fight it, if you can prove that you use medical marijuana for a legitmate reason then charges will be dropped, it might not even go to court.
If you dont really have a legit reason for medical marijuana and you just got a rec so you could smoke weed then just plead guilty and pay the $300 fine and move on with your life.

Edit: Since it was only a ounce and you showed a recomendation then I'm about 95% sure you can easily have the charges dropped. The cops have to follow state law, it is illegal for them not to. If you try to take it to court i can defintally see the proesecution backing off and dropping the charges.


Edit part duece: You can't plead guilty for a lesser charge, you can only plead guilty. Its just a misdameanor with a fine, its really no big deal so they arent going to give you a lesser fine or anything for pleading gulity.... Make sure you get the name of the officer that gave you the ticket as well so if you do decide to take it to court he has to show up, most cops wont even show up cause they dont wanna get grilled about breaking state law (which is what they did to you).

 

thanks for the props homie, live and learn i guess. I suggest placing your medicine in the trunk. I allways carry a duffel back in my trunk and place my medicine in there so cops cant smell it if i do get pulled over. Sometimes i go over board and put the medicine in one of those big plastic zip lock containers then put the container in the duffel bag.... no smell at all. Stay up bro.

Cons: The club dealers usually de-kief their weed.

Pros : They get Ganja food such as candy bars, browneys etc.., You can't really get cited (altough he did, but cops are assholes sometimes) and you have reliable hookups since the dealers won't get busted.

 

ive heard that too from people i know living in southern california..... ive never seen that up here in the bayarea. The difference between southern cali and the bayarea is the bayarea has about 60 more clubs than southern california does so the compettition is heavy. If a club out here de-keifed their weed people would just go to the one less than a block away . I depise the clubs in socal, ive also heard they charged between 60-80 for an 8th, thats just flat out ridiculous. Its defintally a bit different up in the bayarea, San Fransico alone has about 30 clubs so the clubs really do need to be up on their products otherwise people wont go. Alot of clubs are within walking distance of eachother so its not like people have to go to just one club, they have the option to shop around for whats best.


Dankspank, in cailfornia there is a somewhat of a loop hole in the law. The law says one of the reasons you can get medical marijuana is if you have a condition that makes it difficult to complete atleast one basic daily task.... So that can be anything from a severe hangnail to cancer. Well id doubt youd get a rec for a hangnail but lets just say a large marjority of people getting medical marijuana arent too sick. When i go to the clubs its about 95% percent young males in the late teens or early twenties. Unforunitily this is why cops are harrasing people like bong hits, they see a 20 yr old kid all thugged out with weed on him they tend not to beleive the whole medical marijuana story. I agree weed should be legal for even minor things, if it helps it helps. You dont need to be dying for weed to help ya medically. Stress alone should be a good enough reason to get medical marijuana..... Also there are plenty of doctors and clinics that all they do is give out medical marijuana recomendations, they give out hundreds a day on a good day. If you shop around its not too hard to get marijuana legally in california.

i personally havent had the cookies there but i gave a keif cookie to someone i picked up there and he was high as fuck. If you want the most potent brownies known to mankind i suggest you walk over to the HPRC right down the street, its a 1min walk down the street. They have hands down the most potent brownies ive ever had, the weed there isnt the best though.

 

Yes Cali it does a number of things for me that nothing an no one could...

It makes me happy it smoothes out my periodic asthma bouts when all sorts of shit gets in the air and it also allows me to keep my back outta hunchville (pain from an accident usually keeps about 4 near the base of the neck in a hunched position) and over all I get more done when I'm baked...plus problem solving seems to be a snap high...go figure it's bassackwards to what those DARE folks told me...

 

living on disability is the only reason Im not livin in cali...theres just no way I could afford to live anywhere in the state......

SO....like way too many people that REALLY need Medical MJ...I have to sit across the dam river an just star at california......

talk about a kid not able to go into the candy store....not to mention every ten seconds when tha pain shoots thru my body....it just makes me wanna choke the shit out of the dam lawmakers ....see how they react to alittle pain..

 

i suggest you get more involved, there are politcal marijuana groups that work in every state trying to pass laws such as medical marijuana. I suggest you team up with one of them and get involved so a law is passed....let the voters decide if they want medical marijuana legal or not. Have you tried northern cali, up north you can find spots for pretty cheap in cali (well cheap compared to the rest of cali). Best of luck to ya.
