I have a 400 watt MH/HPS light, how many plants am i SUPPOSE to grow with this amount of wattage. I ask this because my space i have is PERFECT for ten plants and i kind of wanted to grow exactly that many but my issue is will the 400 watt light be suffucient enough for 10 plants? AND if not how many MAX can i get away with.
36 square feet is way too small for a 400. If you try to grow plants spread out across that space with just a 400, you will have spindly growth and tiny buds. You should have 5000 lumens per sq. ft. For a 400, that works to about 11 sq. ft. Confine your grow area to 11 sq. ft. and you will have better results OR buy more lights! GL!
