Need to decide between SCRoG and LST, advice please =)

  1. Hello all,

I have a couple plants in a small closet grow that are doing pretty well. One is growing quite strong and quickly and the other was a bit of a straggler. There is a marked difference in size between the two. Where I'm stuck is whether or not I should add a screen. I went with a SCRoG on my last grow and liked it but my plants were much more even in size.

Is it something where I can just weave the larger plant more while I let the little one get to the screen or would I be better off just sticking with the LST I've implemented to get the horizontal growth I'm going for? The meristems are about 2 feet apart but a couple branches from the big one are almost touch the edge of the other pot (2 10 gal. cloth pots)

The pics should help a bit! =)

  2. Hey man, first I have to ask, what's up with the other plant life in there with your marijuana plants? Are they growing in the same pot? You plants look good either way it looks like, but I've never seen that before, did you grow like that last time? How are your results? Thanks!

Now as far as your question, I would continue lst for another week or so, then throw that screen on them and scrog for 2-3 weeks more if you can stand it. That would giuve you a nice large even canopy. :bongin:

  3. Thanks for the advice, man.

The other plant life is clover, it acts as a nitrogen affixer, dynamic accumlator (helps with nutrient distrobution and absorbtion), and it's a living mulch! My first time growing with it but so far it has been good but it grows quick and needs to be whacked down fairly often.

  4. Any other suggestions or is everyone in agreement with RooR?

  5. If you want to scrog them you can, the little one will catch up eventually. Can you raise the pot on something to keep the canopy even ? if its getting shadowed it will just make it worse.

it looks great though. Your clover system has impressed me

  6. Thanks! I added the screen yesterday...can't wait till it is full :)

No risk of shadow for a bit. Hopefully the horizontal growth meets the vertical growth at just the right time.

  7. I would just pinch the higher tops down so they are horizontal, which will allow the shorter ones to catch up, giving you a nice even canopy. Check out some stuff about supercropping, will do ya some good.

  8. Decided to go with SCRoG, turning out great. Check my journal (in my sig) for progress.

    Cheers!
