I'm going to start off saying I have a 6.5x6.5x6.5' grow tent and half of the tent is loaded with plants 18 total big and small and I am using 2 400 watt hps lights. My question is would a 4 foot 6 bulb t5 light work as good as my 2 400 watt lights? The reason I am considering this is because the t5 is 30,000 lumens and uses about 324 watts and i want to keep the electric bill down because I'm not the one who is paying it. Obviously the hps lights are alot more lumens, around 100,000 but the t5 distributes the light more evenly. The area I need to cover is 5'x3'. Another think to consider is I'm running autos and I don't want to sacrifice the yield one quality of the bud. Happy growing err body.
