  1. hey all,
ive been reading up a lot from this forum, just trying to store as much information as possible before starting my first grow.

I keep seeing the term "mother plant" come up and just would like someone to explain what exactly a mother plant is? Is it just a female plant set up for clones??

    thanks

  2. that is a female plant that is constantly in veg stage and every two weeks a clone is being cut from the mother plant and sent to clone area to grow. The clone and the mother plant are geneticly the same cuz the clone is part ot the mother plant.

  3. Yeah, alot of times the mother plant is put through various techniques such as LSTing or FIMing or something to produce more growing tips, leading to the availability of more clones.
I am currentely setting up a nice Mother plant growing box out of 2 big bins, and some CFLs.

  4. yeh as guys said.

basically its a female plant kept in vegetation so you can take cuttings(clones) from and they will grow excactly the same as the mother.

also you can keep a mother for years ,taking cuttings when needed, letting her recover & so on & on, therefore no need to bring on seeds as got a mother plant which will last as long as you want or want a change or can have as many as your space dictates so can be spoiled for choice when deciding what strain im growing next:)

mother plants & clones are the way to go mate.

    hope explains a little, M.:smoking:
