Plant is about 5weeks into veg, under 125watt and 42watt 6400k grow lights, in biobizz ight mix soil, feeding with biobizz grow nutes.. Its been lst'd nicely and ive got loads of potential budsites so far.. Growth has slowed and Im worried about this yellowing.. To me, it looks like a deficiency.. Im watering with tap water (i believe ph 7.9) which i know is high as hell, and im wondering if this is causing nutrient lockout??? The only other water i can possibley get is deionized water - ph 7, no minerals/metals/ions in it.. Would this be better than tap water? Help needed guys!! Things going wrong is not fun, and i really hope i can sort this.. Let me know your thoughts View attachment 842469
God-damn attachments! Why wont they work.. Ill have to wait till uploading works again.. Basically, the veins are turning yellow, with darker green between them.. However, the yellow begins to spread outwards from the centre vein.. The tips arnt yellow at all.. The yellowing is mainly on the new growth..
Likely not a deficiency but is a lockout.....May be a little late to worry about yellowing from nitrogen. Your locking out phosphorus which is essential in flowering plus other nutrients and your at the top of the charts for locking out nitrogen. Use a fertilizer for flowering with twice the amount of P to N.... Maintain a ph of 5.8-6.1 for hydro and 6.5-6.8 for soil. Your tap water may be ok for soil if less than 200 ppm. Better to use lights (cfl) that are 2700K for flowering. The 6500K are for veg
Dude, thanks for the reply However, im still in veg mate hence the 6500k im using.. Phosphorus hmmm, yeah i just checked out some of the nutrient charts at different ph's.. So, seeing as im still in veg, this could still be phosphorus lock out? I think ill have to get some of the deionized water, and give that a go this weekend Edit: did a little more reading - phosphorus lockout seems to be the likely cause, slow growth, slightly floppy leaves/stem even with watering, purple veins on stem.. I guess there is also some N lockout or deficiency going on as well, with the yellowing..
Sorry about that .... Your still not at an optimal ph, even for nitrogen your on the wire...Lower you ph,(as above) and you will see results in about a week. Phosphorus plays a big role in root development and a possible cause of your slow growth combined with lack of N. Lack of P will take longer to induce the onset of flowering and slow down the flowering process.... If you been feeding a veg fert and the plant is not uptaking N and P you may have salt build up so, be careful you don't over feed and get nute burn. If so flush the plant...
