Photek, Basement Jaxx, Underground Resistance, Source Direct, BT, Portishead, Diplo, Benga, Orbital, Skream, Akufen, Goldie, Caspa, Infected Mushroom

  7. As far as chill bands or jam bands, I'd say maybe try some Brian Jonestown Massacre (albums "Give It Back", "Take it From the Man!" and "Strung Out in Heaven" are my favorites) Xavier Rudd, the Dandy Warhols (older stuff probably, like "Dandy's Rule, ok?" And "the Dandy Warhols Come Down")

I'm not as knowledgeable in the hip hop world as others here, but I really like Aesop Rock, Sage Francis, Buck 65, El-P, Atmosphere, etc... *shrug*

  13. Aesop rock is great. Also try the Grouch, People Under The Stairs, Deltron 3030, Immortal Technique, and Andre Nickatina. (My Rap World remix is amazing while baked)

For Rock, i would suggest Dredge, Incubus, Pink Floyd, Black Label Society, Tool, Dream Theatre. Whatever with a good beat.

  14. listen to some dragonforce!! sounds great

  15. For some rockin' electronic stuff check out Holy Fuck, a band from Toronto. Particularly "Lovely Allen", first time I heard it I got it stuck in my head for weeks.

Also, definitely check out anything by Wintersleep (their newer album "Welcome to the Night Sky" especially,) or Wolf Parade/Sunset Rubdown.

Then theres Jack Johnson, I'd say you'll enjoy him is you're into Ben Harper. They also do a lot of collaboration live.
