  1. I just planted 16 seeds (that I geminated in a paper towel) in rockwoll. I did not adjust the pH of the rockwool I just rinsed it in Di water. I than placed the seeds and rockwool in my grow area with the lights on. I am using mini-flouros so there is very little heat. One seed broke through today but it looks brown.

    Questions...

    1) I was reading in the forum today that low level ferts should be added to rockwool, and/or the pH of the rockwool should be adjusted.
    2) I also read that the seeds should not be placed under lights.

This is my firts grow and it seems like I already messed up. Can this be fixed?

Oh yeah I have 8 1600 lumnens sft white and 2 1150 lumens natural light mini-flouros for a 3X4 grow room. Will that be enough?

  2. that just confused me ..... errm all i will say is you dont want any light getting onto the taproot ... any light on any roots will kill em ..

  3. hi, and welcome :) im new also but ill do my best,

    1. formulex is what you want, dilute as it says on bottle and soak ya rockwool over nite.
    2. wen ya seeds have been sown, they are in complete darkness inside the rockwool, once they break the service place them under the light, but not to close, there very delicate. about a metre away i have em, but mines a 400watt hps.
    hope this helps :)

cant help with the lights btw, all that lumen crap goes by me. so i just bought 1 400 watt for a 3x3x7 room

  4. Thanks for the help. Just checked out the grow today I got 5 new sprouts hopefully they will pull through.

Good luck on the grow. Oh by the way I have 10 100 watt soft white and 2 75 watt natural light mini flouros. Will that be enough.

  5. Are these flouros you're talking about the screw in kind because if they are 100 watts they should have more lumens perhaps, it didn't sound right. I think you may have gotten 100/75 watt equilvalent to incandescent light bulbs meaning youre only in the 20-26 watt range I think. Not sure if that's enough light it should be i would think, someone else better answer that part. Good Luck with your grow man.

  6. I have 14 very pretty ladies that are just spreading there little wings. I have been feeding my ladies full strength nutes for 1 1/2 weeks now. Most of them are at least three inches above the rockwool cube i germed them in. All together they are 20 days old. I only want six for my final grow so I am planning on rooting some clones so i can ealy sex them. How old or big should they be before I can take a cutting?

  7. The 8 1600 lumens bulbs should be about 15watt and the 1150 lumens bulbs should be either like 10 or 9 watts. so that would be about 140watts total i think. Which is not nearly enough for 14 girls. Not sure how big your grow area is but you should have atleast 50-60 watts per sqaure foot. Also its best to not give alot of nutes while they are still young. You should wait for them to get a bit more developed before adding in all the nutes.

  8. Hi,

I Have Two Plants Growing In My Room. It Is My First Time, Basically What I Have Done Is Got To Seeds Rapped Them In Toilet Paper - Soaked Them In Water And Through Them In The Cuboard For 3 Days.

After I Saw The Roots Coming Out And Breaking The Shell I Planted Them, It Has Now Been 1 Month And My Plants Anre Growing Fine, They Are About 12 Inches Tall.

My Question Is - I Do Not Have Any Equipment So What I Basically Do Is Just Leave The Plants On The Window Ledge (indoors) And Allow Natural Light To Hekpo Them Grow.

Will This Work For My Plants Or Do I Really Need To By A Flourecent Light??

  9. this will work fine if the window allows for a lot of natural light to reach your plants.
Sunlight is a very great deal more potent then flourecent light.

  10. Your window need sun for about 12 hours and even then your plants will grow long and skinny and you will need sticks to hold it up

    can you put them outside?
