Need Some Help!

    My plants are 2 weeks old and I am having a problem with them leaning. I had one leaning so bad it was laying on the pot. I don't know what to do to keep them straight. One day they will look great and the next they are leaning. they are about six inches tall. Should i replant them and add a little more soil to the base? Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    maybe try to build up the soil around the stem? Or use string to keep it up..probably need to find the source of the leaning..I have no idea, usually they bend / lean when going to the light at that stage..

    so just add dont repot yet?

    Im thinking the source might be the humidity or the distance of the light between the plants. Im not sure. I have the light about 9-10 inches away from the top of the plants and the humidity averages between 50-55%

    I have a light that holds two 4 foot 40w halogens. These plants are growing pretty fast to and i have it on a 18 on 6 off schedule. What do you think?

    If they are growing too tall, you may try switching to 24/0 if you can afford it, this may cause them to grow a bit slower and tighter while they spend time sucking up and storing energy to use later.

    For your leaning issue, why not put a stick or piece of bamboo along side to keep it upright, although I had a leaner once and just let it go, bud sites galore, kinda like LST with out doing anyhting.

    When should i repot? How many weeks along should it be to be ready for repotting?

    You're gonna have to get some pics on here, but I usually wait until the roots fill up the pot it is in.

    I have some pics but from my cell phone i dont think thats safe to do it you think? And they are kinda like cardboard trays that you can get a local store that are bout 2x2x2(L,W,D).

    If your plants are only 2 weeks old then they're probably not tall, right? Maybe let the soil dry out, the roots could need more oxygen if your plants are leaning like that.

    halogens? can you even grow good plants with those?, not sure but i dont think so, guess i have never heard of anyone using those, that could be your problem right there, not getting enough usable light thus the stretch, plus 10inches away with anything other than a HID is probably a problem as well buddy :smoke:
