What can I use to unclog these percolators? I let my Brother borrow it and he never cleaned it once. So now the percolators are clogged with actual chunks of weed and what looks like a piece of paper towel/tissue. I tried Simple Green which didn't work completely. It did get a lot of the resin out of it after having gone through two soaks already but there is still resin stuck to the insides. I tried alcohol and salt prior to the SG method. It was WAY dirtier than it is now. BTW, It's all one piece. Nothing comes out or off. EDIT: Hopefully a better image of what's inside the percs. It's not resin.
My best. Guess. Is to search up on Google and put bong cleaning liquid or Amazon or go on to youtube and put in how to clean a bong hope this helps you
Hot ass water. Careful how hard the water blasts through or it could break those Percs. I use the hose from a shower wand attachment. I take the wand part off and it fits into the downstem nice and tight. Then I turn on the hot water. The hotel the water and the longer you let it run it removes more and more. I let the hottest water I can get out of my water heater blast through my bong before I soak with alcohol. You'll be surprised just how much gunk the hot water flowing through takes off of the glass. For smaller pieces you'll need to hold by hand but the premise is the same, hot water flowing through the piece melts and breaks down the gunk and resin inside the piece. Just remember to adjust the pressure of the water. Smaller more petite pieces and glass such as ash catchers can break from the heat and pressure. You can turn the piece upside down, on its side, back flow the water, all sorts of shit to get the water into the nooks and crannies that are normally hard to get to. Good luck blade...
Back flow worked really well. Just one percolator has a small chunk in it now. A little more work and it should be looking like new again. Thanks for the help.
I have used PBW (professional Brewers wash) with great success. One of the moderators over at Fuckcombustion recommended to me. I would bet there is a PBW thread over at Fuckcombustion. Needs really hot water and can make your glass piece slippery. I lined the sink with a heavy bath towel so if it slipped I had some protection. PBW is available on Amazon.
