need some help regarding med marijuana

Discussion in 'Medical Cannabis: Treatments & Patient Experiences' started by nossr50, Jun 27, 2006.

  1. If you have severe depression and stress, and backpain (not severe enough to limit movement, but it hurts and makes doing things very difficult, like sometimes it gets so bad I cant really bend my body or pick things up without alot of pain). Would any of these qualify to get medical marijuana in california?

My friend has migraines and difficulty walking due to his chronic pain in his ankle, would either of these qualify to get med marijuana in california?

yes we have smoked marijuana in the past and it helped alot but I dont know if a doctor would think we qualify so im asking here since I dont know anything about getting on medical marijuana

  2. i think that you would deffinitely qualify. your friend maybeeee.

  3. Do doctors decide what qualifies for medical marijuana? Or is there guidelines about it?

  4. where in california do you live??

  5. near san diego, im in oregon atm

EDIT: I was looking at placed to get a medical card and this one has a location in san diego, I dont know if its a good place to go but the website looks very professional, can anyone recommend this place?

  6. if you are driving home from Oregon, i have a doctor for you to see, and can assure you that you will get approved..just let me know

  7. Under california law you are allowed to use medical marijuana for any medical condition that marijuana provides relief. That's pretty much any type of injury or illness is you get technical. If you have some kind of medical condition I wouldn't worry about not being able to get a medical card in California. California has the less strict laws by far regarding medical marijuana, infact I don't think I've ever heard of someone getting turned down in California.

  8. I found statistics from NORML that shows the top three uses of med marijuana.
    1. 40% Chronic pain
    2. AIDS related
    3. 15% Mood Disorders
    4. (23% other catefories)

  9. :D Here in BC Canada, your family Doctor looks into your qualifications.....Then applies on your behalf, wait 4-8 weeks and your card comes in the mail. I have seen "Green Cards" for sale on ebay.....If you don't mind being "Mrs.Johnson" ha ha ha ha

  10. Yea there was i guy on here a while back that had a doctor in SD that did medical Mj, on there site they said if you have any type of pain, migraines, etc, you qualify for use, then you set an appointment and they go over your symptoms.

If you just talk about how bad your getting migraines you can get it no prob b/c you can pretty much fake a head ache b/c theres no way to prove it.

Im gonna set up an appointment ASAP. my family has a history of migraines so hopefully this should help me get one.
