Need some help please!!!

    I want to get a camera but i don't know really anything about them.

    I want one that is pretty good but not insanely expensive.

    My price range is 800-1200$

    Any suggestions?

    Your gonna drop $800-$1200 on something you dont know anything about? That sounds like a horrible idea to me :laughing::smoke:

    if you're just tryna have a camera for parties or to document stuff, just a standard camera, you dont need to pay that much.

    i have a 100 dollar 10 megapixel, if you're just taking pictures, you dont need anything else.

    except you might as well support death by shopping at walmart.

    buy it somewhere else.

    Oh well i guess i wasn't to specific in my first post.

    I want one of those SLR or something that can take high resolution pictures.

    Digital SLR or just a SLR?

    Digital can do well but for the top res, you need film.

    You're still not being very specific.

    Are you wanting to get into photography or are you just wanting something to take casual photos?

    If it's for photography would it remain a hobby/fun thing, or does the profession of photography interest you?

    Psshhh....most people I know (including professional photographers) have moved on to digital.

    Then my vote is for the Canon EOS Rebel XSi.
