My humidity at the moment is 60 % in the day and 76% lights off. I'm looking at buying dehumidifier but the dehumidifier operating temperature is 35c max wont this cause problems during flowering. as the temprature is to high?, I got a fan in there now on 24 / 7 but it's not oscillating also got extractor fan going all time as well. I'm getting a new fan for the lower part of the tent and two clip on ones for the upper canopy will this be enough for preventing bud rot or do I have to get a dehumidifier
Are you using a tent? How big of a room is the tent or grow in? The only reason I'm asking is because in the summer I need to run a dehumidifier but in spring(as long as not too rainy) and fall I'm able to use these.
I have a small room my tent is in. I don't put them inside the tent. The stack on is like $20 at home improvement stores. Damp rid is only a couple bucks. In the winter/ late fall I have to use a humidifier. Couple days ago I was cutting down my plants and I had the humidifier off for a couple hours, the humidity got down to 11%. Spring and fall it gets to the 70ish% range these things bring it down 10% or so. Summer the humidity is almost always 100% these wouldn't work unless I had a ton of them. There's no heat with these except for when you dry out the stack on. It collects moisture then you take it out of the room and plug it in to dry it out. It does create a small amount of heat when drying out. Only had to do that maybe every other week for an hour. Make sure to take it out of the room though or you'll be putting the moisture right back into it
yeah I'm using a tent mate I had similar items before but didnt budge the humidity I live in the UK and it's constantly raining where I'm from.so humidity is high The condensation around my house is terrible so I don't know what to do
Ya they don't do much when its raining all the time. Looks like a dehumidifier might be your best bet. If you can get the humidity down in the room the tent is drawing fresh air from, maybe it won't mess with heat inside the tent too much. A/c takes out humidity too.
A dehumidifier would be excellent, as well as ramping up your airflow. It sounds like you're on the right track as far as adding all those fans. Mold doesn't seem to like fresh moving air one bit...
yeah I don't draw fresh air from outside otherwise the humidity would be much higher I just open the windows a touch for hour or so depending on outside weather and my extractor pulls that into the tent through the vents.would a dehumidifier cause he in tent to rise to high during lights out that's my worry
I draw fresh air into the same room and extract the air out I just open windows for few hours a day and my extractor pulls that fresh air in through the vents in the tent looks like dehumidifier only option
