Need Laptop Suggestions For A Uni Student

    I need a new laptop for Uni and I'm struggling to choose one.
     
    It can be 13" - 15.6", but it must be reasonably light, with a good battery. I don't mind paying between $700nzd - $1300nzd.
     
    Could you please give me some suggestions from the site http://www.pbtech.co.nz/ as that's where I'll be buying it from.
     
    PS. I don't want a mac.

    macbook air, light and 12hour of battery and does everything a student would need it to do

    any 400 dollar laptop should do the job  if you're just typing notes , what fks it up is when you start downloading and installing other stuff.
    bought a 450$ acer and it's on its 3rd year running just fine.
