Me and a few plans are planning a trip to Amsterdam next winter but I defiantly need some information before hand. Anyone that has been there, or knows anything at all please chime in! 1) How safe is it? 2) Is it still legal to buy and smoke marijuana there? (stupid question, but gotta make sure) 3) What are a few things I absolutely must do while I'm there? 4) What are some good places to stay (hotels/Inns)? 5)Any overall thoughts or advice about amsterdam?
hey man i think i can answer some of those questions: 1) it's safe,just beware of muggers 2)it's legal to buy up to 5 gr of weed(18+),legal to smoke in coffeeshops, not legal to smoke out in the streets altough police is not to difficult about it,i smoke in front of police all the time and they never said a word to me but being on vacation i would stick to the law and not smoke just on the streets,in a park would be fine. 3,4)I'd ask tomshark for some tips,he had a trip there and said he had a great time,here is his tread: http://forum.grasscity.com/general/534307-beauty-amsterdam-update-more-pictures.html 5)Just enjoy yourself and try diffrent coffeshops and diffrent strains. Make sure you know how you gonna move around(if you gonna rent a car,or gonna use bus/metro,walk if you get a hostel in the centrum)
