Ok so im doing sub super soil , mix everything, but for got and put 1lb of humic acid into the soil mix, is it okay or will it be too strong?
IDK, depends on the amount of mix and the concentration of the humic. What's the brand, how big is the bag (lbs, oz?), what did it cost, etc? If it's halfway decent stuff, you're screwed. If it came in a say 10lb bag and didn't break the bank, you might get lucky. Cheap stuff has lower concentrations of humic. If it's BioAg quality .......... Wet
thanks, i used 250 pound of root organic soil, 60lb of earth worm casting, 5lb blood meal, 5lb bone meal, 5lb of bat guano. And 1lb humic acid/ potassium. Do you think it will still be usable if i added more soil and nutrition to it but no more humic acid? I also put 1 cup of domolite , and 1/2 cup of azomite.
I honestly don't know, have zero experience with that brand and I don't do any measurements by weight, just volume. Did you even look at the directions? It's supposed to be mixed with water, not added dry and @1tsp/5 gallons water, sounds pretty concentrated. A lb sounds like a serious OD, there's a LOT of tsp in a lb. More mix with no humic might work. I'd try some as is on a junk plant and see what happens. This might help determine how much mix you need to correct the OD, but any suggestions beyond that would just be a WAG (wild ass guess). I would suggest you start reading labels/directions before dumping stuff into your mix. Good luck. Wet
thanks, i asked one of my friend whos been growing for years. He said that humic acid is okay , but since mine have potassium with it, it might burn my plants . Ill just have to do half organic and half boytles nute.
Half and half will completely defeat the point of going organic... Keep reading man. Your fine. Humic acid is for homeostasis, nutrient breakdown and uptake. Roots has a lot of it natural. Your not missing and nutrients and will be just fine with this recipe. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
