1st grow and my seedling are 2weeks and couple days old and have yellowing leaves. Is this normal? They have new little leaves. Do the old leave die off since new ones are growing . I have them in stya cups in jiffy mix and earthworm casting and under 4 26 watt cfls 16/8. Because i plan to put them outside.. thanks for any info.
worm castings is pretty rich stuff. Some Jiffy mix has nutrients as well, I think. Depending on the mix, You could have burned then. Pics wold help. Seedlings should be started in a fairly neutral environment as they are easily hurt. Just good dirt is plenty. I start mine in coco, which has NO nutrients and they are happy until the second leaf set, when I slowly introduce nutrients. Put them in bigger pots, water them, no nutes, take outside when weather permits.
