Need help with probation question please!

i was on probation for 3 years, the day get that letter in the mail that states you are off. YOU ARE FREE TO BLAZE YOUR FUCKING ASS OFF!

 

Well i remember going in to see my PO and she made another appointment for me to see her next month, this was abbruptly ended by a letter coming to my house about a week later, stated that i was off probation and just had to take care of my expenses associated with it. They wished me luck in my future journeys and i smoke a blunt the same day. To be on the safe side you can always call your PO and ask whats up.

 

My probation was such a shit storm. Officially, I was on probation for more than three years. It only felt formal for two years, but damn-it was annoying. Fortunately, it began when I was a juvenile (so the charges were lesser..) but I finished it up as an adult. I wasn't even formally taken off of probation, I simply received a letter one day. I was supposed to finish up another hour of work and write a letter before I was off, but one day they just notified me. I never had a court date to check in on how I was doing... it was rather relaxed. It was shitty, but fortunately I got to toke the entire time I was on probation. I came up dirty once and I didn't even get in trouble. I wouldn't risk it though.

 

OP, I'm sure it depends on the state. I got early termination (IN FL, after 50% of your time and EVERYTHING done / paid, you can apply in front of a judge for early term. As soon as he declared I was done, I called my ex-probation officer (huge dick smoker) and told him I was done.. never heard from anyone again.

BTW, my original term date was Dec. 14 as well :3 Got put on June 10th.

 

Honestly, I wouldn't risk anything in your position considering how far you've come. Until you are officially off, just be patient. Last thing you want is to get fucked over.

I'll share a story for the sake of me being bored:

One time, my PO didn't show up on time. Now, this was some time ago, but it is still fresh in my memory. She didn't show up, and a couple of hours went by. Eventually, I found myself out back smoking out of my friends bong. And lo and behold, my PO decides to show up at nearly 10 PM. I'm like, "AWE FUCK" as my friend runs off. Fortunately, I managed to change my shirt, wash my face, and gargle some tooth paste before speaking with her. I was stoned off my rocker as I talked to her. She was a great PO.

as long as youre sure it ends on the 14th, go for it. check the judge's order, as that's the only thing that has the power to take away your right to security in your own urine. if your not on probation, they can't test you because of your inalienable rights (hahha, ok we all know the inalienable part is bs, gets me a laugh though). your probi may have said that because thats your last time meeting him, so just make sure. but no court would ever uphold forcibly drug testing someone without a court order.

Thats bullshit when you done go to probation one last time to make shore the day is right and thats it nothing else papers in the mail is bullshit I never got them I been on probation 4 times my whole life Im free and clear for two years you may half to pay probation of classes if you did not all ready but one last check in after the 14 and your done

 

Wait till you get the legal document stating your probation is over, that way if they try to say "hey we need to drug test you again," or whatever, you can just show them the letter and I think technically they aren't allowed to test you. I think it's unlikely though after you get the letter they'll want to test you, but just wait till you get it in the mail to be safe.
