So I ordered a tent and I’m going to go with bloom city organic kit, will I have a problem with pests ? If so is there a organic way I can control it ? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Just keep the outside world out of your grow area . Meaning never take your plants outside and then back into your grow environment pests are quick to attach to your plants Never mow your lawn then mess with your plants in dirty clothes you can pass bugs . Clean environment is a pest free environment If you do aquire pests Bt spray for catipilars Spinosad for aphids and flying bugs Neem oil for everything else Most above are rated organic Some other things you can add to soil for other pest. Only if needed . Happy Growing Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Neem Cake. Add it to your soil and it prevents Spider Mites and a lot of other bugs too. Funny it doesn't prevent Fungus Gnats, but nothing's perfect. Never had a Spider Mite in my tent and I've been growing for years.
U can take fresh pepper mint leaves and lay ontop of soil,,,around inside or outside ur tent alot of bugs dont like it,,,,they have spray too Sent from my SM-J727P using Tapatalk
I now put about half a cup in my 5 gallon pots. Used to put a cup in, but it was too hot and burned the plants. Also, put about two or three inches of soil with no Neem Cake in it at the top of the pot, so the seedlings don't get burned.
Also, don't add Nitrogen to your soil. Neem Cake is an organic source of Nitrogen. You don't need any more. In fact, I don't even fertilize during Veg. The Neem Cake and the nutrients contained in the soil are all my plants seem to need for the first four or five weeks of growth.
I did a full grow with the soil ( FFOF) 4 pots each 5gal. I have a few more things I planned to put in there like "Ancient Forest humus" and some Cost of Maine Organic plant food with lobster kelb and EWC. Do you think that is overkill?
well I already have a bunch and thought i might as well reuse it bunch of times. cheaper in the long run. I started with FF soil and always great results. I use different nutrients though
