Need help with new glass piece!

    So today I bought a new 14'' 2 layer perculator,with ash catcher and ice catcher,diffused down stem. It looks great but for some reason I can't seem to get a solid hit out of it, which is probably because I don't know how much water needs to be in both percs, the base or the ash catcher. Please help!!!!

    Post pics.
    I like to fill the percs to just above the top slits, just a tad more, but not by much.
    Then for the downstem it depends on the shape of the bottom of the bong.

    It could just have a bad design and had to much drag, post pics, where did you buy it?
