Thinking of starting a grow up and only available space is in the attic. Does anybody have an idea if the heat from the light will give me away during winter. Heard some horror stories of people getting caught cause they had no snow on their roof and their neighbors all had snow. Also does growing in the attic increase chance of getting caught? Well think of it this way . Is the heat the light ur using gonna be strong enough. And if so some people actually shovel there roofs. So u could pretend . And it doesnt really matter were u grow because ur giving off an heat signal ethier way so
I have an attic grow with a 600watt HPS with a glass plate and ventilation. In order to make your grow work you have to get a light like this with ventilation you can set up yourself. Be careful with the size as well. You might want to try a T5 very little heat and more compact lighting.
All you have to tell them is you had a roof heating system installed. Many people have that. Also Attic grows like closet, sheds and garages tend to suck. Major temp swings etc. Then theres lugging all that water etc up there or lugging your plants down. Usually towards the end your watering on a daily basis.
