Need Help with FIM method

  1. Sorry I can't post any pics but I don't have the luxury of having a digicam. Please answer these following questions for me.

#1. When should the FIM process be carried out? By this I mean approximately how old? How many nodes? How many weeks b4 flowering?

#2. How much longer should I let it grow out after the FIM b4 changing the light cycle to 12/12?

#3. For Skunk#1 (Sativa Dominant strain) should I FIM it or just let it grow the top cola?

I know it's a lot of questions but I really need help. I tried reading info at overgrow but couldn't find the answer to these questions. Please help!!!

  2. I have exactly 1 plant now and that's a skunk#1. I lost 4 skunks and 3 blueberry's due to heat stress and root rot. I have 9 PAIRS of branches and this includes the 1st set of fan leaves that I got and 2 pairs of branches that seem to be growing one right on top of the other (im not sure if this counts as 2 nodes or 4). I also got a top cola and not all the leaves of the branches are developed yet. The plant is exactly 32 days old under 1000 watt mh light about 3 ft away from the plant (used to be 4.3 when it was a sprout). So when do u think I should start FIMing and when would be a good time to flower? Please reply!

  3. Much determined by Grow Setup Type..yield desired.

1)Age can very..After at least 5-7 nodes are on plant, with known female.growing chutes emerging from mainstem at base of fan leaves.

2)Until you have an established root system,as well as supportive branching.

3)This is pretty much your preference...I myself like to let the skunk get large cola's..but again...I'm not aware of your setup..

    good luck...
