Need help with 2 plants! Please oh please

  1. Hi I need help with two of my plants.

I feel like I have been on a good water schedule. The past 3 weeks. Usually every 3-4 days. The big green one is taking water every 2 days now.

In the beginning I over watered but I have been letting the soil dry out now and the pot is light when I water.

The plants popped on June 26th.

Planted in Fox Farms Ocean Forrest.

I have been giving Botanicare Grow, and Botanicare Cal-Mag. Started mutes about 3 weeks ago.

I’ve been upping the nutrients slowly. Still not at 100% dose.

Always use RO water, PH’d to 6.3-6.5. Water until about 20% runoff.

    Keeping the lights 20inches.

Temp in the grow room has been a pretty consisting 73-79.

    Humidity stays about 47-68%.

The one plant is kind of long and scraggly. It has been looking better than in the picture but the leaves have never been full and green. Always a little curled.

The other one that is full has been growing pretty good but I’ve been having to trim off dead yellow leaves.

Then there is the big green that has been growing good.

I’ve been rotating them in the tent to see if that helps but haven’t noticed that helping.

I did flush the two that were not doing too well. That was about 2.5 weeks ago. It did seem to help a little but it didn’t cure anything. Still not growing big and green like the one in the picture.

They are all the same breed. I just can’t figure out why 1 is doing so much better than the other two.

In the picture I use the two clip on fans not the two on the floor. I just need to take them out of the tent.

Some help would be great! I can’t figure out what is going on.

  2. Pinch off the unsightly leaves and carry on. Nothing wrong.
Even with a group of the same seeds you'll get specimens that don't conform to the rest. It's sex and nature.
    They are not identical twins.

  5. Yeah, that's not something to ignore. Could be one of several things. How often are you feeding them? Looks like overwatering but you say you're not. Could be heat/light stress or a combination of things. Sorry, not all that helpful I know, but definitely dont ignore it.

  6. It looks like lighting issues to me, because of the way they are stretching, they will always reach for the closest light, and as you move them around they will continue to find the light and move towards it. I don't think you have Nute Burn because the leaves still look healthy. Some sativa strains are more stringy and thin too, the yellow leaves if they are only on the bottom are likely normal as the new growth at the top sucks the life out of the bottom leaves for it's new growth. Transplanting or overwatering, or just stress can cause slower growth, but it should recover if it's just in shock, it just looks like they have some stunted growth from stress because mine sprouted June 30 just shortly after yours and this is what they look like. Be in mind I had Nute Burn, Nute lockout, and it has subsided that is why I think you just have some stressed plants IMG_20200813_121631.jpg

  7. I’m using both of these lights. Mars hydro reflector. 3x3 grow tent.

I also use an air intake going through a cooler to bring in cooler air. My thermometer never gets above 80. Usually stays around 78 with lights on.

should I turn on another fan? All the leaves move slightly but they don’t “blow in the wind”

  8. I feed them about every 3-3.5days. The healthy one is sucking up the water. It’s about every 2 days.

  9. I’m using two lights, both of the ones in the picture. Do you think that is too much light?

  10. I’m using two lights shown in my other replies. Should I not be using two?

also do you think they can recover from this at this point if I get it figured out???

  11. Im using two lights shown in my other post. Should I switch to just one?

also do you think they can recover at this point or do you think they are too far along?

  12. I think they will recover just fine one of my plants was completely yellow with leaves falling off and is the biggest healthiest plant now after 3 weeks of recovery. What size pots are those after looking at the pictures more closely they look a little small for the size of the plant, they could potentially be root bound of just have slower growth because of it. It looks like a combination of stress issues. Usually when plants are striving for light they get stringy, the curling upward is usually a sign of them looking for moisture while absorbing heat, I usually keep the light much closer than I see yours is so I don't think they need less light, the difficult part in trying to figure out your issue is that you seem to have everything in order humidity is fine temps could lower a little and that might help my plants get stressed at anything above 76 degrees and I keep around 50 to 60% humidity , if you could find a way to get some cooler air in there I think it would help, my plants were and still are very sensitive to nutrients I hardly use any at all because I have good soil. If your soil is already good it may be too many nutes. I try to figure out why their sad and what changes I made before they got worse. If you previously overwatered it will slow the growth and stress the plant out, could take weeks to recover from or any stress for that matter.
    Things to consider are:
The size of the pot slowing their growth
Wind burn if your fans are hitting the leaves too harshly they like a nice breeze but not to much aggressive wind hitting them
Try raising the lights to 35-40 cm, and you might not need both I have one Philzon 1200 watt LED on 7 plants at around 45-50 cm above

  13. They are 1 gallon pots. I was going to transplant this weekend to 5 gallon pots. I was just trying to get them a little healthier before transplanting.

I have an air intake that is piped into a cooler to try and bring in some cooler air. Been running this for about a week.

If I added the humidifier back I could knock the temp down a little. I just a know if I was getting too much moisture because the leaves were drooping. I could have been overwatering. What is too much humidity at this stage?

Or I could turn one of the lights off and the temp would drop. I was just trying to make sure there was enough light for 3 plants so I got a good yield.

I have my thermostat set to 73. Hate dropping it too much lower during the summer. And I don’t have the funds to invest in an AC unit for the tent.

  14. I would probably say that with a 1 gallon at this stage is what's hurting them, I would transplant them as soon as possible out plants are almost the same age i transplanted 3 times from cup to 1 gal to 3 gallon as they kept getting bigger. You could probably turn of one of the lights to reduce heat, but good air circulation is all that you need. But Im really just starting to lean towards them needing a transplant that pot is way to small for that big of a plant. Just make sure to not water heavily after transplant try to wear gloves so you don't damage any roots, and raise the lights a little. It will take them awhile to recover, but I think they'll be ok. I would start with the transplant and see if they starting getting healthier, they need room for their roots to expand out and grow

  15. Ok thank you so much for the advice! I will get them transplanted tomorrow. Ugh I hope they are ok.

So I am going to be transplanting them to 5 gallon pots. Would you recommend adding nutes the first water? I will be planting them in fox farms ocean Forrest.

  16. This is not my video but a helpful one I used.

Fox Farm ocean forest is already got, packed with nutrients if using fresh soil most growers recommend not feeding nutrients for two to 3 weeks.

Look up the fox Farm ocean soil, it runs hot, if it were me I would just transplant and lightly water and give them a few days to see how they are doing. I have only used nutrients 3 times my entire grow from sprout June 30th because my soil is hot

  17. I think they are making some progress

  18. I am only using 1 light now and the temps are staying 72-76. Also I transplanted into bigger pots. I think they are making better progress.
