Hey, I just picked up a 175w Floodlight fixture, and need help wiring. I have a 3 prong outlet from the store, Hooked up the white black and green to the proper connections, but the light doesn't light up. I'm new to lighting and what not. No... Its already built in, Look at the web page, can't you see the big box underneath where the light sits? Yeah... still haven't got it.
So you have the ballast and it's all wired up? Make sure you have the correct bulb. Is the ballast making any noise? Check connections with voltage meter..

I dont get what your problem is... connect white with white, black with black, green with green. Its not rocket science. Thats retarded, he just didn't wire it right. Remember, black goes with black, white goes with white (or red) and green goes with green. If thats not working then theres a problem with your fixture. I'll leave you with the troubleshooting steps from the manual... 1.) Check your power source 2.) Check electrical connections, make sure nothing is loose! 3.) Check to ensure proper seating of lamp 4.) Check if lamp is burnt out. If you end up not getting it to work, ditch HID and go with CFL's to avoid the fire hazard.
