Holy shit, and flowering you should be running it 12hrs a day right? How much is the bill to begin with?

 

Either you did something wrong (could be an infinite amount of things) or it's a strain with just plain shitty genetics. Could be a combo of both you never know. My advice is try another strain and keep the climate ideal.

 

maybe your ballast is on the fritz? old and not very efficient bulb? for my 250w my bill went up by 20$. maybe the rates in your area are very steep?

0.4 KW * 12 = 4.8 KWh per day
Thats 4.8 *31 = 148.8 KWh per month.
Thats 148.8/80 = 1.86 KWh per dollar.
Thats over 53 cents per KWh.

Are you sure you are paying 53c/KWh?

 

you may have a light leak imo, hurry and fix the light leak before the plant ages, recover what you can, if your room is airtight and no exposure during the 12/12 cycle than your buds should be doing fine.....no nutrient deficienies or otherwise?

 

the bulb could well be past it's best.even if it's quite new, if it's a cheapo that came with the ballast get another for next time. believe me, after a year i KNOW my sodium lamp needs replacing, even though i veg with halide.
plus without pics, you might be growing a pure sativa and before you only grew indicas. that could partly explain your disappointment . some sativas need 13+ weeks of 12/12. food for thought

if the fan is blowing on the plants, too much wind will slow growth

If you used 719, then your light cost you $37 and some change. Something else is using power too, either a bad bulb/ballast drawing more or some extra electronics unrelated to your grow.

 

that sounds better ..... mine runs around $33 and somehow with a 400mh and a 400 HPS goin it comes around to 50....

 

i dont like what im seeing. You should definately have bigger buds in week 6 but i just dont see em! Im essentially guaranteeing a light leak. I had a plant for 6 months when i was 15 years old in my room (my parents were oblivious since they are first generation) and i used to just drape a sheet over the box i was growing in. As i can recall back than, it definately had light leaks. And coincidentally, my plant looked exactly like yours!! During the light hours take ur plant out and go inside and shut the door or even better, just shut all the lights outside of the grow room and look for any light from within the growroom leaking out. If so, houstan, we found our problem!
