need help/sick plants

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by rayb73, Feb 3, 2011.

  1. this is my third time around and im running into major problems with my vegging.i am currently growing 2 strains(white widow and blz) from clones from 2 diffrent sources.i am using soil 50% sunshine mix and 50% fox farm ocean forest.ph is about 6.8,temp about 78 and humity about 40.my lighting is a hydrofarm t-5 400 and something watt(24hr light cycle).
well the problem is that once my clones reach a certain height about 6" the leaves start to crinke up and the top new growth gets a lime green deformed.it almost looks like it wants to flower even though i know these plants arent auto. everyone is telling me it is either a salt build up or over nute but i havent added nutes to them.i have tried flushing, superthrive and repotting to bigger pots and nothing works.my first grow went so beuatiful and then slowly declined.i am not doing anything diffrent this time around.
any help would be a life saver
    thanks

  2. I think you have a zinc deficiency my man.

Generally speaking, a zinc def is caused by high ph.

That said, you are probably deficient in multiple elements, just probably haven't seen the symptoms yet.

Need to re-check the ph of the water you are giving.

also, wouldn't hurt to give the plant some food

  3. thanks for the reply.i checked my ph runoff today and seemed fine.i havent feed them yet because the soil had the fertilzer in there.

  4. Kewl

Give 'em a taste of some food.

One last thing, IMHO, people have a tendency to water way too much and too often. I won't rant on.

Check out my grow, you can see how much water I use and when.

  5. just a thought here,i have been reading alot about the mosiac virus and alot of symptoms seem to be happening to my plants.there is a thread on this site that got me thinking.i know that this must get posted alot.there must be mass hysteria about this topic.this problem has been happening for the last 5 weeks and i have been tossing out alot of plants that get really bad looking.i really tried everything from fertilizing, flushing them, not fertilizing.i have tried this on seperate plants and the same symptoms occur.i have posted more pics i would appreciate any advice if someone has had this same problem.

  6. the 3rd pic is a picture of the last plant i took down.it seemed like the last 6 plants i put in 2 months ago had this problem with this being the worst of the 6.now i cant even get a healthy plant in veg to grow more than 10" without getting sick.
