Need help seperating room

  1. Hey all, so I presently have my room split in half one side for veg and the other for flower. I hung up two tarps from the ceiling to block the veg light for night time, and during the day when both lights are on i have to fasten the tarps to the ceiling to allow air-flow into the flower side to keep it cool.

Basically it is a grueling process that I have to do twice a day. Put the tarp up in the morning, then at night I have to let it roll down then cover the edge along the ground with blankets to block light cracks.

Please, I need some ideas for splitting my room that would require less work everyday. I would appreciate any advice anyone can give!

  2. what about arranging the room so that its top & bottom? like a shelf the whole size of room.
    just an idea.
cant remember the idea that i had when first clicked reply lol soz :)
will post again if/when it comes back to me :)

  3. That would work for a smaller set-up, but my room is decently big, accommodating a 1000 and 400 watt and a large carbon filter with muffler. Thanks for the input if anything else comes to ya let me know.

  4. Two 90 degree angles should block light......get some big air ducts at the top and maybe an inline fan or two and ben the air ducts till no light comes through. and you shouldent have to take down the taro ever. just make sure you can controle the temps because its supposed to drop 10 degrees at night.

  5. Yeah I have been thinking of just ventilating, but the only problem is my neighbor lives above me and his bed room is above my garden room, so I'm scared to strap ducting and a fan to the ceiling because of the noise/vibrations it might cause. He's a dick and noise sensitive, tells me to turn down my music all the time and complains about my fucking bathroom fan that's in the ceiling. He's a grumpy old man and im paranoid lol

  6. You dont have to vent outside, just saying keep the tarp up but you would need a way for air to get to both sides of the room with tarp up. You might need two lights one for veg and other for flower to be able to leave that tarp up all the time. Some ONA Gel and a fan should get rid of all the smell( there are all kinds of DIY on the ONA Gel deodorizer) I am goig to making one because I made a carbon scrubber but it took power away from exaust fan.

  7. Oh so you mean just to put in some big ducting just to allow air flow btwn sides, got ya. That's a good idea except wouldn't the light get through to the flower side during lights out?

  8. Post up a photo, how do you smoke with such a creep, blowing ya cover?

  9. two 90 degree angles should stop light if not a few more. With all the bends it might take you might need a cheap booster fan ( Homedepot ) and that will help.

  10. is it possible for you to throw in some pics, so maybe the visual of your space and situation would sprout new ideas
