  3. Tape it back up and it will be fine.
Use electrical tape. Wrap it around the branch then around the main stem to pull it back up and hold it in place. Use a bamboo stick if needed for extra support.

  8. hey man,

I look alot around GC but I haven't come across any snapped branches. Mine was slightly different as it was a 3rd hanging off I thought maybe infection is around the corner now

  9. I dont like to use tape because of the adhesive, and sometimes it's a pain to get back off so I use this...

I would just use a bamboo stake and some pipe cleaners to support the branch and then make the repair

You can see where I used it in the pic above

  10. You shouldn't have any problems with infection. Plants are pretty hardy and unless there are bugs present or you have some stink in the soil, you shouldn't have a problem.

  11. I dont see any reason to remove the tape once it's on. As for the adhesive on the tape, is tar any better?
That tar you show is for open wounds on trees from damage by insects, animals or the like. I have used it on splits from rapid growth on my trunks. Other than that it offers no real support to the damaged branch.

  12. Once it dries it does offer support as it is somewhat rigid, but that also why I said I would stake it first then apply that to help the plant protect itself....

It was just an idea... but vinyl tape is a no for me...

Also electrical tape's adhesive transfers if it gets even a little too warm

It was just another idea to help our guy here, totally up to him

  13. There is biodegradable tape for grafting available but it's kinda hard to find and a little more expensive than a roll of electrical tape.
I'm all down for keeping plastics to a minimum.

  14. Hey guys,

Thank you I have put a bamboo stick in for support and is currently holding it firmly back in place. I don't have any of that tree wound applicant any where near me so the electrical tape may just have to hopefully do. I have a very clean grow tent and I have consistent numbers keeping my temp at 25.0 degrees Celsius with the lights on. I have no problems with my medium and gets a feed every 2 days with 15% run off.

I appreciate all the tips and help! Hopefully she pulls through nicely. Thank you fellas

  15. it happens every month or so some come on line and say help ive snapped a branch or stem ,,,and the black tape comes out,,,mac..
