Hello, so on march 6th, i ordered seeds online , 1 GSC auto fem, and 1fem Og Kush, with 2 free regular Afghani. they should arrive by the 16th, i am planning to do outdoors grow , i have the fertilizers, the soil, the water source, I live in the Dallas forth worth area of Texas. Here are my questions: -When should i germinate the seeds? -When will I harvest the Auto GSC, OG KUSH, and Afghani if i even get a fem? -In case I get a male and female from the Afghani, should I let them both pollinate, that would get me seeds right? -With those seeds, can I grow more Afhghani next year with the seeds? -Does cannabis smell a lot in flowering stage?
Based on the calendar for Dallas this summer, you will get the most daylight for both the auto and photos if you sprout them the week of May 22nd. Sunrise and sunset times in Dallas, May 2016 The auto should be ready 8-9 weeks after sprout, week of july 17. You'll get about 4 months of veg time for the photos which is pretty decent, start them inside early if you want beasts. I would cull the male and do a controlled pollination on one branch. Still get a shitload of seeds without ruining the rest of the plant. Another option is to take a few clones and mother them, trimming them back every other week or so. Or just let them go at it naturally. I'm growing the same exact batch of seeds, indoors though. Heavyweight Fast and vast + GSC auto And yes, they stink. I was lazy and left my carbon filter off after washing the prefilter, stunk up my whole house.
As far south as you are the safe date is around May 1st to plant cannabis seeds outside.. Seedlings need a month to mature so that lets you get them out that month early.. Down in the low 30s latitude we really only have June and July for dependable veg months as come mid August your early showing plants will be in flower.. . Yes it stinks.. Bad.. I'm just a month into my spring flower and it hits you in the face when you open the gate to the back yard.. In a few more weeks you'll be able to smell them from the street some 100 ft away.. Legal here but I still get nervous every time harvest gets close.. . As Thicken suggested just pollenating a single lower branch will still get you 100 seeds and leave the rest of the plant smokable.. If you pollenate the whole plant it'll smoke like crap.. The seed production will make it reek of oil and it'll be harsh as can be.. I usually toss any plant that's that seeded.. BNW
