need help on lights

  1. I know k-rating isn't everything to look for in a bulb but is 6500k ideal or are the bluer lights that burn at 10,000 kr or even 20,000 kr better? As I understand it plants benefit more from the light at the ends of the spectrum (blues and reds) so would a high blue be the best option and a low kr red for flowering?

  2. I was looking at the light spectrum the other day and noticed a few things.

6500k is better for for the vegetative stage because the blue lights helps make it grow nice and thick. But there's a bigger spike in the blue spectrum at 5500k. So, I would imagine 5500k is better for the plant as opposed to 6500k.

Same with red lights. There were spikes at 2200k and 2700k with the former having the larger spike. I'm using 5500k daylights cfl's to grow my batch right now and it's coming along great!
