So I started flushing 13 days ago because I planned on harvesting around 10 weeks flower. Well, the problem is, now it still not ready as I anticipated it to be, because I have no amber trichomes yet. The leaves are showing major signs of deficiencies obviously from the flushing, but my main fear it to waterlog them. What do I do? Do I harvest a little early, do I start up their nutes again? No, I look before the light kicks on, I just kinda took that pic to post on here cuz lights was already on lol Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Cut your light cycle to 10 hrs, keep growing. Di you just go straight from 18 hrs to 12 hrs light cycle or did you take a week to gradually move from 18+hrs to 12 Hrs of light?
Also get it cold. Cold plus a shortening day will speed ripening. You wont lose much by letting it keep going, by starting the flush early you probably lost some weight but its not a big deal.
Yeah I went straight from 18 to 12.. I have an ac in the room so it stays at about a steady 73.. I been wanting to make it colder at night but I hate Bill's haha Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
When you slam right from 18 to 12 hrs of light you dont really hurt the plant but it still doesn't notice the light cycle change for several days. Plant nervous system work much more slowly. If you just flip right to 12/12 and count that as day one of flower you are counting about a week ahead of you plant. I always take a week to go from 18 to 12 hrs of light, your plants get a bit more light to enter the stretch and you get a more accurate assessment of growth timeline. You plant is probably only on flower week 9 not 10.
I did mine at a 4 hour drop till I got the 12/12. From that day I'm now just coming to week 8. So friday will be 56days at 12 hour shift.
I was not aware of that I will keep that in mind for next time.. but for now I already have them flushed so what should I do from this point?? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Keep giving them the water they ask for and keep going until either every fan has dropped or the trichomes are where you want them. As long as you have a fan or two left your flowers will be safe. Cutting to 10 hrs light cycle will speed it up a bit.
At the end of mine I water half what they were taking then leave them dry and store in a dark room for a couple few days before harvest, seems to help with the dry times and overall quality.
